We ended up in Port Gamble, and practiced parallel parking. Once in between the lines, it seemed reasonable to check out a few of the shops, just to make it all worthwhile. One of the places we visited was the Artful Ewe.
This place is not large, but it is open and rich with color. As far as I could tell, most of the yarns there are handspun, and in such a variety of texture and color and fiber blend it is almost more than a color-lover like me can bear. Very sensuous, definitely inviting. There are rovings, raw dyed fiber, carded dyed fibers... here is an example:
