Cherry Pie

Cherry Pie, originally uploaded by knit_purr.

Yum!

Photo note:

"Cherry Pie

Billy Boy, pudding and pie,
kissed the girl and made her cry.
When the boys came out to play,
Billy Boy ran away.

Can she bake a cherry pie,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
Can she bake a cherry pie,
Billy won't you tell me now?
She can bake a cherry pie,
Quick's a cat can wink his eye.
But she is too young to be
Taken from her mother.

I put the rhyme and the lyric together (a little changes made), well, it does make sense."

Knitted Breakfast! More fun knits from Knit Purr.

Photo note:

"A proper breakfast should provide us with about a quarter of our daily intake of energy and nutrients. HOHO...

Skip breakfast and you risk missing out on vitamins and minerals that are not always made up for in later meals and snacks.

(Does not look so appetizing though.)"

This knitter did a great job~

Handpainted KnitPicks sock yarn, dyed with Easter egg dye

Another two skeins in different color combinations. I love these!

Photo note:

"Here are the newest sock yarns that I dyed with Easter egg dye. I am still so impressed with how vibrant these colors turn out!

I've put together a detailed tutorial, that you can find in the Extras section on our site. This is the best way I've found to dye yarn"

KnitPicks Bare Fingering Weight, dyed with Easter egg dye

I used to love dyeing when I spun a lot. I used anything from Kool Aid to lichens to nettles, and this would be so fun to do!

Here is the note that goes with the image:

"This is the Superwash sock yarn from Knitpicks in Bare. It is very soft and took the dye very well. This is dyed with standard Easter egg dye tablets.

I've put together a detailed tutorial, that you can find in here. There are more pictures of the yarn I dyed as well. This method also works with fiber reactive dyes."

(Here's the link the photographer puts with the image: http://kathrynivy.com/patterns/extras/dyeing-yarn/ )

i've got all my ducks in a row....

These do remind me of Peeps. . .

The Legend.

The Legend., originally uploaded by Spooky Momma.

Once again, I may be late, but some of the members of my Pilates class today made me think of Fred Rogers and his wonderful sweaters, and it all came back. So, I'm a little late, it being April, but it's never too late to enjoy a red sweater.

From Wikipedia:

Fred McFeely Rogers (March 20, 1928 – February 27, 2003) was an American educatorminister, songwriter, and television host. Rogers was the host of the television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, in production from 1968 to 2001. Rogers was also an ordained Presbyterian minister.

Wouldn't it be nice to do this again?  This video of out of date, but it's a nice idea anyway.
